Catching light and reflection, this piece was painted en plain air from a dock on Lake Lauzon in northern Ontario. The dancing lily pads, in loose brush strokes, paired with the rich intensity of the rippling water all contrast with the bright sun-seeking flowers help to portray the restless nature of the subject.
